Quoins
Quoins are used to lock up dies, type, furniture and base plates firmly in the frame of a printing press.
Three standard thickness's are available: 12 mm, 18 mm and 25 mm. For each thickness there are multiple lengths possible. Each thickness has its own brass lock. Each dimension has it own screw with a particular square hole. The lock of 12 mm has a screw with a hole with a side of 4 mm. The lock of 18 mm has a screw with a hole with a side of 6 mm and the lock of 25 mm has a screw with a hole with a side of 7 mm. To know what thickness of quoins you are currently using it is enough to inform us of size of the square hole in the screw.
